I also have a new "game" of sorts for our house boys. It's a chore jar, kinda like this one, but ghetto style (coffee can & index card strips) until I can get to the store to get a mason jar and Popsicle sticks...
I love the idea we came up with. When Timmy was serving us, he would always just do the dishes and then come ask us if there was anything else we needed to do. Always distracted with our other commitments, we didn't know off the top of our heads what needed to be done, so he just left. Now, all of the house work is written down and up for grabs.
If you are on a time limit and can only stick around for an hour or two, just pick one chore. If you can spend a lot of time working, pick as many as you'd like.
This keeps things interesting, as you'll be moving from room to room working on things and not just focusing on, say, just the kitchen or just the bathroom.
